SRCS Interlibrary Loan System

If the library does not own the material that you want/need and you are a registered card holder, we can try to borrow it for you from another library. Libraries have developed a reciprocal system that allows us to borrow and lend books, audio books, and periodical articles. You may have up to 5 active interlibrary loans at one time.

Once you have made your request, whether online through our SRCS interlibrary loan system, in person, or by phone at 765-454-4710, it will take 2 - 6 weeks to acquire the material. The length of time depends on the availability of the material at the lending library. If your original request was not able to be filled through SRCS, you may reach out to a librarian at 765-454-4710 to see if there are additional alternatives.

The material can be picked up and returned at any KHCPL location.

Please note that most libraries do not interlibrary loan materials that have been published in the last 12 months.

The lending period is determined by the lending library, but is generally not less than 2 weeks. Most interlibrary loan items can be renewed by logging into your SRCS account or by calling 765-454-4710.

Using SRCS

Once you click the link above to take you to the SRCS main page, you will then need to click the “login” option in the top right corner of the SRCS page. At this point you will see a dropdown menu of library locations, type in KOK to filter results, and then click Kokomo-Howard County Public Library. Your credentials are your library card number and password OR pin associated with khcpl.org and our databases.

Please contact a staff member at 765-457-3242 if you cannot find the item you are looking for or need general assistance with SRCS.
