Can’t make it to the library? Use our Library Delivery Service to have books and other library materials delivered to your home for free. Simply log in to your library account online or call your local branch to request items.
Sign Up For To Your Door Library Delivery
To participate in Kokomo-Howard County Public Library’s (KHCPL’s) To Your Door Library Delivery Service, an individual must reside within KHCPL’s geographic service area, must be 18 years of age or older, and must have a valid personal adult library card. Each participant (patron) must have an account in good standing and may not have fines that are $10.00 or more. Overdue fines and replacement costs may be applied to damaged, late, or non-returned items, including the bag in which items are delivered, in accordance with KHCPL policy.. A patron may be turned over to a collection agency if fines and replacement fees equal $40.00 or more. At the time KHCPL delivers materials to a patron’s residence, the patron immediately assumes responsibility for the items in their entirety. How do I request library materials to be sent to my home?
To have your library materials sent to your home, sign up for To Your Door Library Delivery by entering your information and agreeing to the terms of service. Then when you place a hold on item(s) through our online catalog, they are automatically designated to be delivered to your door. Once the item(s) is available, you will be contacted to coordinate a delivery to your home for free.
What items may I have delivered to my home?
Adult, teen, and juvenile books, audiobooks, movies, and video games may be delivered to your home.
Chromebooks, Hotspots, Launchpads, Flip-Pal mobile scanners, Video Tablets, and Experience Kits are not available for this service.
Does someone need to be home to sign for the item?
No. This is a no contact service. You will receive notification through email or text once the item(s) are left by your front door.
What days and times are deliveries made?
Deliveries and pick-ups are scheduled Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning
How will I know when materials are going to be delivered to my door?
Customers with a valid email address or cell phone number with texting will receive a message when the package is scheduled to be delivered.
How many times may I have items delivered or picked up from my home?
We will visit your home no more than one time per week.
How do I return my items?
Once you are ready to return your items, simply drop them off at any library location, call or text 765-860-6858, or email homedelivery@khcpl.org to request a pick up.
Do the same circulation policies apply to items delivered to my door?
All current circulation policies and borrower responsibilities apply to items that are delivered to your home. Inside the delivery bag, there will be a printed receipt with due dates for each item.
Items that are lost or damaged during the patron check out time frame will be billed to that patron.
Loan Periods and Renewals for To Your Door Library Delivery service

28 day loan - 10 renewals (with no existing holds)
Hot Pick Books, Video Games
14 day loan
Blu-Rays, DVD's
7 day loan- 2 renewals (with no existing holds)
If an item has an outstanding hold, the check out is for two weeks and it cannot be renewed. Hot Flicks cannot be held or renewed.

What are the Overdue Fine Rates
$.20 per day / $4 max per item
Video games have a $.50 fine per day per item, with a maximum overdue fine of $5.00 per item.
